9 Clindamycin is increasingly used to treat canine pyoderma. Eight of 608 Staphylococcus 10 pseudintermedius isolates were positive for inducible clindamycin resistance by D-test and PCR 11 detection of ermB. Staphylococcus pseudintermedius isolates that are erythromycin-resistant but 12 clindamycin-susceptible by in vitro antimicrobial susceptibility testing should be tested for 13 inducible clindamycin resistance. 14
